Eurocamp 2024 - The Countdown
So, where to start?
Let me give this Travel blogging thing a go! .... Here goes nothing.....
Myself (Matt) and my Wife (Jade) decided about 12/13 months ago to go back to Eurocamp, something we did for the first time in 2022. Eurocamp seemed like a break from the "norm" for us as a family with 4 kids .... the usual being Disneyland Paris which became expensive for 6 people staying for 5 days and riding rollercoaster etc etc.
So Eurocamp it was and Spain for the first time as a family, we chose a Park close to Barcelona El Prat Airport, on the Mediterranean coast, 30 minutes drive (we used a transfer company) in a small city called Vilanova i La Geltru. An absolute gem of a place, a hidden jewel in the Catalonian crown!

Flexibility is the key! Apparently!
Stay as long or as little as you like... The Eurocamp ethos! Their minimum stay seems to be 2 days and they charge by duration not per person, which was a massive plus for us as a Summer Holiday for 6 breaks the bank especially if it was all inclusive in a resort somewhere sunny.
So that brings me onto Self-catering holidays which Eurocamp can be or you could just eat out everyday but again saving money here! Yes Self-catering can be something daunting ... cooking everyday just like at home but we found it the complete opposite... it was Al-Fresco every-single-day, it was fresh, it was done on a BBQ (Cave man... me like BBQs!) and it was something we ALL ate, TOGETHER without it being a fuss.
Now if you have fussy eaters in your family you're probably thinking this sounds like something you could do with... right? It was great for us... minimal stress, minimal effort in the best way possible and the kids (and us) loved it, we ate well and didn't spend a fortune on trying to please everyone.
So fast forward to now... and we're going back to Vilanova, and Eurocamp again! and no it's not all tents and camper vans! We've gone for the Premium Exclusive range accommodation which has 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 rooms with 2 single or bunk beds), a living space, kitchen with hob and oven, dishwasher and some other bits that make it a bit more like home.

We'll update this and be posting loads more on Vilanova, the travel from Home in South Wales to the Airport, the flight and everything in between.
